Served as a U.S. Marine infantry officer (2018–2023), rising to captain, and was deployed to Europe after Russia's invasion of Ukraine; honorably discharged. Former law clerk to Judge David F. Hamilton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit; commercial-litigation attorney in Indianapolis. Son of former governor and U.S. Senator Evan Bayh. Won the Democratic nomination at the June 2026 state convention.
Positions on the issues
Audit the Secretary of State's office, including a review of spending.
Improve voter participation among eligible Hoosiers.
Supports referendums on redistricting.
Every legal vote should count; illegal votes should not.
Opposed the federal SAVE Act as a federal dictate, arguing Indiana already has voter-ID and citizenship protections.
