Rodney Pol Jr. is the incumbent Democratic state senator for District 4, appointed in November 2021 to succeed Karen Tallian. An attorney, he previously served as Gary city attorney (2014-2021) and a deputy public defender (2010-2014). He is the Senate Minority Caucus Chair and the first Latino elected to the Indiana Senate.
